Vancouver, BC – The Vancouver Warriors selected a total of seven players in the 2026 NLL Draft on Thursday, September 24, including Matt Collison (round one), Marcus Khan (round one), Jeremy Wudrick (round two), Blake Young (round two), Joel Mullen (round three), Henry Dodge (round five), and Joel McCormick (round six).
Collison, 23, recently completed his senior season at Johns Hopkins University, registering 46 points (30-16-46), 61 shots on goal, and three game-winning goals. In 64 career games across four seasons at Johns Hopkins, the 6’4”, 225lbs midfielder from Scarborough, ON posted 147 points (100-47-147), 197 shots on goal, and eight game-winning goals. He also appeared in eight games with the Philadelphia Waterdogs of the Professional Lacrosse League (PLL) this summer, recording 15 points and 18 shots on goal. Collison was also recently named to Team Canada for the 2026 Pan American Sixes Lacrosse Championship, taking place in Oshawa, ON from September 29 to October 4.
“He’s big, athletic, and six foot four, 225 pounds” said Curt Malawsky, General Manager & Head Coach. “He goes to the middle of the floor and has a heavy heavy shot. He plays with an edge, and I think he'll really establish a good outside game for us. He can also finish in tight and is very good at opening up space for his teammates and is an ultra-competitive type of guy.”
Khan, 18, appeared in 17 games in the BC Junior A Lacrosse League (BCJALL) in 2026, split between the Langley Thunder and Coquitlam Adanacs, holding a record of 7-1-1 with a 6.95 goals-against average and a .859 save percentage, going 5-3-1 with a 8.83 goals-against average and a .799 save percentage in nine playoff games with Coquitlam. In 27 career games in the BCJALL, the Langley, BC native has a 10-2-1 record with a 7.03 goals-against average and an .854 save percentage.
"Marcus is one of the top goalies in the BC Junior A junior Lacrosse League. We have been watching him for many years,” said Malawsky. “He won a national championship at U17. I think he throws the ball extremely well. He's got a huge upside and there is No one better to learn from than Christian Del Bianco. He’s grown up watching the Warriors. It's a pretty cool thing to draft another young local guy. We're excited for Marcus.”
Wudrick, 22, appeared in 11 games with Lander University during his senior season, posting 16 points (8-8-16) and 15 shots on goal. In 58 career games at Ladner, the Saskatoon, SK native recorded 91 points (53-58-91) and 104 shots on goal. The 6’4”, 230lbs forward has also played in 21 career Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) games with the Nanaimo Timbermen, split between the 2025 and 2026 seasons, registering 36 points (15-21-36) and 16 penalty minutes.
“I like how he moves bodies. He was good in junior, played in Nanaimo and had some injury problems, but then he came back and played with the Nanaimo Senior team, and I thought he did a good job,” said Malawsky. “He can shoot the ball from the outside. He can challenge guys to the net. He's a tough matchup, and we wanted a little bit of depth at camp on the right side.”
Young, 20, split the 2026 season between the Delta Junior Islanders and the Port Coquitlam Junior Saints (BCJALL), posting 15 points (6-9-15) and six penalty minutes, adding three points (1-2-3) and four penalty minutes in four playoff games with Port Coquitlam. The 6’2”, 170lbs defenceman from Ridge Meadows, BC, has appeared in 67 career BCJALL games, split between Delta and Port Coquitlam, registering 60 points (19-41-60) and 25 penalty minutes, adding four points (2-2-4) and six penalty minutes in eight playoff games.
“He's got another year junior, so it was big for us. I imagine at some point he'll be playing in a Minto Cup coming up here,” Malawsky said. “I've watched him play against men in the WLA, and I thought he played really well. He's a player we’re looking at for the future, and I think he's got a ton of upside.”
Mullen, 20, spent his freshman season at the University of Utah, appearing in 14 games and posting six points (2-4-6), four shots on goal, and seven caused turnovers. The 6’0”, 185lbs defenceman also appeared in 16 games with the Nanaimo Timberman (WLA) in 2026, recording nine points (2-7-9) and 21 penalty minutes. A native of Vancouver, BC, Mullen was named to the WLA Second All-Star Team for the 2026 season.
“He's a pest, he gets in guys' hands, and he agitates guys. He plays a very physical style, plays on the edge, which we like,” said Malawsky. “He was on Team BC for a few years, so I watched him for a lot, and he just brings that aggression and that compete level that we really like. He’s tenacious on loose balls, and he takes care of the ball really well, and doesn't spit it up in transition, which is big at this level.”
Dodge, 22, spent the 2026 season at the University of Maryland, posting two points (0-2-2) and two shots on goal, while going 114/168 in the faceoff circle (67.9%), good for second in the NCAA and first in the Big Ten Conference. Prior to his time at Maryland, the Westport, CT native spent three seasons at the University of Vermont, appearing in 29 games and posting six points (2-4-6) and 179 ground balls, while going 288/456 in the faceoff circle (63.2%). The 6’3”, 220lbs faceoff specialist was named to the 2026 First Team All-Big Ten, 2025 America East Faceoff Specialist of the Year, and the America East All-Academic Team in both 2024 and 2025.
“One of the top draw guys in the country,” said Malawsky. “He's going back to the University of Maryland and hopefully down the road he can play in the National Lacrosse League. We were looking for some depth behind Stath in the face-off position, so we're excited to get him.”
McCormick, 23, spent the 2026 season at Robert Morris University, appearing in 18 games and posting 31 points (17-14-31) 27 shots on goal, and 14 ground balls. In three seasons at Robert Morris, the 5’10” 170lbs forward recorded 58 points (31-27-58) and 57 shots on goal. The Maple Ridge, BC, native also played in two games for the Burnaby Lakers (WLA) this summer, registering eight points (5-3-8) and 19 shots on goal. In nine career games with Burnaby across two seasons, McCormick has posted 16 points (6-10-16), four penalty minutes, and 49 shots on goal.
“He's a Maple Ridge product. I've known Joel since he's been five years old. He's had some injury troubles last couple years, but prior to getting hurt, he had a really good campaign in the WLA going with Burnaby,” Malawsky said. “He's got a really high ceiling and a great IQ, and he's got a phenomenal stick. He knows a lot of the stuff that I've run over the years, so he'll fit right into training camp.”
